February 19, 2021: Genshin Impact Wishing Priorities

Characters I Currently Have

I have all the 4-star characters plus Klee, Mona, and Tartaglia.

These are my main Spiral Abyss teams (might change depending on enemy types):

C1 Xinyan

C4 Xiangling

Tartaglia

C3 Sucrose

Main DPS

Pyro Resonance, Vaporize

Vaporize

Swirl

Klee

Bennett

Diona

C6 Anemo Traveler

Main DPS

Healer, Pyro Resonance

Melt, shielding

Swirl

5-Star Priorities

Venti

Disclaimer: There's no official news of a Venti re-run. This is purely hypothetical.

I now mainly want Venti because I've grown bored of the Anemo Traveler. The Anemo Traveler is a great single-target sub-DPS, but even with C4 and a shield, he's vulnerable to strong rapid-fire attacks while using his Elemental Skill, assuming it's held down. Pressing it doesn't do as much DMG.
Don't get me started with his Elemental Burst which can't suck in heavy infantry like mitachurls. I don't play Ningguang and I don't have Zhongli so I can't make his tornado stay still, on top of said heavy infantry moving a lot.

Venti's Elemental Burst has a much larger AoE. I don't know if it can suck in heavy infantry like the Anemo Mechanicus can, but still, I think it shouldn't be too hard to keep those Fatui Skirmishers in place.
Still, even light (hilichurls) and medium (large slimes, Whopperflowers) infantry annoy me. Venti is the perfect answer to these fools.
Also, lots of big numbers go brrr.

I've prepared for Venti ever since I got Mona instead of Zhongli. I got 22 Intertwined Fates, a Starbucks Venti cup, a green jacket, and Guinivere (voiced by Erika Harlacher) at the ready.

Jean

I expect to get Jean on her own Event Wish since Keqing, a non-limited character, already got hers. But even if I get Jean outside of her own Event Wish, I'll still pull for Jean because I want her at C1 for maximum pulling speed with Gale Blade.

Jean is my best waifu: she has an attractive body and clothing, a Fuck Yes to romance, and a gentle yet serious side that seeks the benefit of others.

Inflicting fall DMG on my enemies simply satisfies me, which is why I really enjoy Jean's play style. Fall DMG is unique in that it scales with the enemy's max HP and distance fallen instead of the attacker's and defender's stats, so I can use Jean right out of the box in most combat situations without too much building (and, by building, I mean steroids).

Ganyu

I bet you didn't expect this one.

I deliberately skipped the Ganyu Event Wish during 1.2 because, again, I was laser-focused on Venti. I hope they don't do a Ganyu re-run before Venti, though.

Diona and Kaeya are my most used Cryo characters mainly for spreading Cryo and preparing Melt reactions. I have Chongyun but I realized I don't enjoy his play style, so I pretty much have no Cryo main DPS.

Ganyu fills both the main DPS and sub-DPS roles well with the thicc damage her unique Aimed Shot provides and the huge AoE of her Elemental Burst. I admit the main reason I was swayed into liking Ganyu was those huge numbers.

Liyue has a lot of Geo-using enemies like Geovishaps and rock shield hilichurls, so I expect Inazuma to follow suit with Electro enemies. Cryo is super effective against Electro...and Hydro Abyss Mages.

Yes. While most Hydro enemies are weak to Electro, Hydro Abyss Mages are unique in that their shields take normal DMG from Electro but are weak to Cryo. I hate those things.

4-Star Constellations

These are much lower in priority than the 5-star characters above. I'll only pull for them once I get all the 5-star characters I want.

Xingqiu: C2-C6

All of these constellations increase Xingqiu's DMG output with his elemental abilities, making him a more valuable sub-DPS for Vaporize teams and support for Tartaglia.

Xinyan: C2-C6

Trying to get Xinyan's strongest shield is a pain because enemies like to strafe around me a lot. Even with the Anemo abilities I currently have, Sucrose sometimes doesn't hit every enemy and the Traveler knocks enemies back in multiple angles with his Palm Vortex.
C2 helps get around that pain in the butt, on top of its 100% CRIT rate allowing me to focus on stacking CRIT DMG.

For C4 and C6, more DMG is always a nice buff.

Diona: C1 and C2

Diona's Energy Cost is a painful 80. I don't plan to build her seriously since I just use her for spreading Cryo and sometimes against Geovishaps. C1 helps a little with her Energy gain.

In times when I'm stressed IRL and play too aggressively, I am heavily reliant on shields, which is why I like having more shield strength.

Noelle: All Constellations

I personally enjoy using Noelle as a main DPS. I feel Noelle does better than Ningguang in the DMG department because of her incredible attack range and her shield's Geo element.

My Lazy Opinion on the Wuhan Coronavirus Vaccines In General

DISCLAIMER: I am not a lawyer, medical professional, or political expert.
Literally anything, even Skyrim lore, can be politicized, so if you're offended by political posts, please read something else.

Various vaccines against the Wuhan coronavirus were rolled out to the world starting in December 2020. While, to some, this is a major milestone in the war against the Wuhan coronavirus, to others, it's just an overhyped occurrence that matters little in the long run.
Unlike typical vaccines which typically get tested for years, the Wuhan coronavirus vaccines finished testing in only a few months due to emergency demand all over the world. Some argue that the scientific papers behind these vaccines are credible enough to be worth the shot; others say that the vaccines were simply rolled out too quickly.

In the Philippines in particular, a scandal about the Dengvaxia dengue vaccine is still ongoing; it was the cause of death of over, I think, 100 schoolchildren. Some say Dengvaxia didn't finish all its tests, which is why the general Filipino population extends its fear to the Wuhan coronavirus vaccines. My parents, in particular, don't want us to get the vaccines yet because of this.

I see a lot of articles saying that even those who have been vaccinated still need to follow...what do you call them, minimum health standards? Y'know, distance yourself and wear a mask and all that stuff.
Some other articles say that you need to be vaccinated to have access to basic services like being able to go to the supermarket. I'm uncertain, however, as to whether or not this applies in the Philippines. I hope not, especially now that the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has allowed the re-opening of establishments like cinemas.

Anyway, time to stop beating around the bush 'cause I'm lazy and my brain is fried.
I won't take any of the vaccines for now. I simply feel like it's not worth the risk. Again, these vaccines were rolled out way too early. I want to see what happens over the months to people of various races and living conditions.
As far as I know, I haven't seen any complications about any of the vaccines that have been distributed in the Philippines. High-value people like the Presidential Security Group members were among the first to be vaccinated.

So, About Valentine's Day...

Image from Wikimedia Commons

Yeah, I'll admit my hopeless romantic Manchild brain was recently hypnotized by social media into taking Valentine's Day seriously.

It's extra bothersome for me this year because, again, I'm feeling unlucky even with most simple friendships. I planned to restore a friendship after one month of leaving the person alone because I wanted them (I'm deliberately hiding their gender) to have more time for real-life responsibilities and enjoying introvert perks...but I gave up upon realizing family and work continue to be bigger priorities for them.
Keyword: most. I'm cheating a bit 'cause I still have one friendship intact...and we're having fun roleplaying.

So I distracted myself effectively by working a whopping 12 hours straight in my English tutoring job. Let's just say...I've just felt the tip of the iceberg in terms of what big-shot voice actors experience on a regular basis. That is, my voice got rekt. But it was all worth it.

Childhood Valentine's Days?

I remember absolutely nothing about them. Maybe I just treated them like regular days...even when I was taking Wednesday face-to-face classes in high school.

I was blessed to have been educated in private schools for the vast majority of my school life. Most (if not all) of the students were nice people who took their studies seriously.
I almost never participated in the casual conversations of other students, and I don't remember the ones I actually participated in. As far as I know, though, none of them talked about Valentine's Day. Similarly, I feel like they participated in Christmas gift exchanges simply because it was "the right thing to do".

In the one year that I was in public school, our final exam for the year was in January instead of March or April, so we didn't celebrate Valentine's Day during the term.
My memory is extremely fuzzy, but I think one of my classmates confessed to me only for me to lie to her, saying "I have a girlfriend". I didn't mention my then-crush "Mareeta" by name or drop any hints, but that's who I referred to in my brain.

What About February 2020?

Can't remember either. I was probably focused on my studies.

Maybe I was mentally planning to apologize to "Mareeta" after a straight year of no communication. I did it in March 2020.
Why did I apologize? Because I gossiped about her to other friends I had in 2018 and 2019. I also snubbed her in a March 2019 supermarket trip even though her mom bought us ice cream.

Needless to say, "Mareeta" and her mom don't talk to me anymore. The last time I talked to her mom was in late 2020, about 6 months after the apology. For the sake of their privacy, I won't say why--heck, maybe there are other reasons I don't know about.

Future Valentine's Days?

I think avoiding interactions between me and other people will be best for all of us. To me, everyone is either a physically and mentally weak slacker or a good-looking workaholic ace. Without me, they can enjoy their anime, K-Pop, video games, family, school, and work.
You could argue that's my...way of showing love to others. You could also argue that I'm being passive-aggressive.

February 7, 2021: Lazy Life Update

Yeah...I wasn't energetic this week, so I had no blog post ideas, especially since I put myself in a Hytale "box" to stay true to my blog's subtitle.

Speaking of which, just to keep it going, here's some Hytale stuff:

#BurnTheKweebecs

Tweet by Noxy

On February 6, Noxy held a poll asking if Kweebecs should be burnable. Despite Kweebecs, in general, being loved by the community, 63.4% out of 3,189 people said "yes".
Noxy added, "I reserve the right to not respect this poll if it means the game gets [an] 18+ rating." I don't think it'll happen. You can literally use fire to commit mass murder in Minecraft yet it's still rated Everyone 10+ by the ESRB.

At first, I thought this was a poll made just for laughs and won't be taken seriously, but then we got hit with this exchange between @reddoons and Noxy:
"Noxy, trees are flammable after all, right?"
"Not all! Some wood [will] be fireproof/very fire resistant. The more you know (TM)."
Keeping it vague, huh? He didn't even say words like "a few" or "most". Oh well. I'm not a mage or arsonist, anyway. I solve my problems with good ol' fisticuffs.

Anyway, speaking of "they hide", if I'm to infer from context, maybe the Kweebecs hide if a nearby player is holding anything fire-related or is about to cast a fire spell. If Polina is intentionally keeping it vague, maybe they hide at the sight of non-Kweebec weapons (i.e. anything made of metal).

Regardless, I wanna cosplay as Klee in at least one of my evil playthroughs. Don't you dare add a Jean expy.

can't sleep because of poop -_-

When I'm stressed, my brain wants me to rush to the toilet, regardless of whether or not I'm capable of peeing or pooping.

Well...pooping is the problem. We quickly run out of bananas at home because Mom and Dad are banana gobblers (exaggeration). So my tummy feels heavy at night yet I feel no urge to poop. I lose the urge in the morning, so I stay up late at night until I feel the urge.

boredom

Is this part of the disease of more or something?

I've got a job already and I'm pumping out a steady stream of blog posts.

Either I lack sleep or I really need to get back to making real friends...which I'm feeling reluctant to do because...admittedly, I cheated on my own promise. I had a Zhongli-style conversation with a teacher--let's call her "Maria"--who unfriended me because she asked me if I subscribed to her YouTube channel and I said no because I was not interested in her kind of content and I prefer gaming videos.
Yeah, screw it. My luck with making friends is still bad.
(And before you ask, I said nothing afterward...mainly because I knew defending myself was a Manchild-ish act.)

But I have a plan to get rid of this boredom without social interaction...

Planning to Clean My Room

Yes, I'm still addicted to Genshin Impact. What does this mean for this section, you ask?

February 12 will be the Chinese New Year and, being a Chinese company, miHoYo takes it seriously. It's a tradition to clean the house before the Chinese New Year; otherwise, bad luck will happen. (Thanks to Big Brother and my mom for telling me about this!)

As such, as part of my Venti summoning ritual, I will clean my room before February 11. It'll also help me sleep better when there are fewer things nearby that look out of place.

Other Venti Summoning Ritual Items

I have a +1 merged Guinivere in Fire Emblem Heroes who is also voiced by Erika Harlacher. Maybe, to maximize my luck, I should try to win one Aether Raids battle with her...and I hate Aether Raids.

I have a Starbucks Venti cup with my name on it as a celebration for getting my job.

Official Genshin Impact merchandise are only sold in China, but some online sellers are..."exporting" them to buyers in the Philippines. If I get extra money, I plan to get an Anemo Slime throw pillow to use in my ritual. (I also think the Large Anemo Slime in the Slime Paradise event is the cutest among the slimes. In-game, it's the most fun to shoot down with a bow. It's super effective!)
