August 31, 2021 Life Update: I've Finished My Thesis!

First off, I'd like to say: Go to hell, thesis! I'm not doing schoolwork like you ever again! I'm a free man!

Yeah, I've been swearing a lot more recently, even in conversations with people I've recently met.
But that's beside the point.

Thesis Status

Okay, not gonna lie, I mostly rushed my thesis by only putting bare minimum information and personal thoughts. I concluded that the way gamers act is how they wish they acted in real life which is often opposite to their real-life behavior. For example, many people think they're friendly but not confident in social situations (especially at work and school) but are very aggressive and competitive in gaming. On the other hand, support players are likely aggressive in real life.

I think my thesis is currently being reviewed by the professors. September 7 is the deadline for sending requirements for graduation, which I've already done, so it's safe to say that, after this date, I might receive news of a graduation ceremony or something.
The fucking Delta variant of the Wuhan coronavirus is running rampant in the Philippines right now and is hitting record numbers of new infections, so I think it's safe to say that my graduation ceremony will be purely online.

Update, September 1, 2021: My adviser saw some room for improvement but thinks it's "generally well-written". The points for improvement she gave are pretty simple to do. Let's get 'em!

Illegal Immigration in Genshin Impact

Younger brother in Ritou
Yeah! Take that, teleporting border!
Okay, relax. I'm still here in the Philippines in real life. I'd immigrate like a normal person.

In Genshin Impact, though, screw that. Some players tried that a few weeks ago and haven't gotten banned.

Remember what I said about me playing my younger brother's Genshin Impact account but not touching his quests?
But I simply cannot allow him to play with Inazuma characters that are stuck at Lv. 20. He wants me to raise his characters, after all.
I've seen rumors (if not news reports) that re-runs will be rarer, especially considering the large number of new characters in Inazuma teased during the Version 2.0 trailer like Gorou, Thoma, and Yae Miko.

I actually got this illegal immigration done on the day I published this post, one day before everyone can play Version 2.1. I was scared that the illegal immigration exploit might be patched.

It won't allow me to play Inazuma events without completing the Archon Quests, I bet, so I gotta work with what I have. A lot of events say "Complete Ritou Escape Plan to unlock".

Update, September 1, 2021: Nope, I can't challenge the Thunder Manifestation without doing Ritou Escape Plan. RIP illegal immigration if my brother likes to use the Raiden Shogun or Kujou Sara.
Hey, at least Seirai Island has a lot of weed for my brother's Yoimiya to smoke! (This is a joke. I'm talking about using Naku Weed to ascend Yoimiya. google plz dont ban me (intentional bad grammar))

Update, September 2, 2021: I also can't do Hyakunin Ikki. :(

Why didn't you illegally immigrate earlier?

I didn't know that there was an easier method to do so. The method I first saw was exceptionally difficult and takes a long time: use Kaeya's ice bridges and repeatedly disconnect and reconnect.

And what was the method you used?

I followed this video by Ringo.

Basically, these are the steps I followed:
  • Glitch underwater. Avoid going too high early on or you'll resurface. This'll allow you to walk on the surface like normal ground.
  • Head directly east of Guyun Stone Forest and directly south of Musk Reef. Set a Portable Waypoint there in case of screw-ups.
  • Kill a character will fall damage by landing on the black grassy terrain (I call it "the Void"). This will allow you to walk on it without being teleported back. Do NOT do anything weird like jumping, opening the map, or switching characters at this point; just run and sprint.
  • Upon getting close to the great striped slope, repeat these steps until you get very close to Inazuma:
    • Go to the Character screen and disconnect from the Internet.
    • Unpause the game and run across the slope for 10 seconds. Do not climb it.
    • Go to the Character screen, reconnect to the Internet, then disconnect again. This is best done in windowed mode on PC so you can keep track of the taskbar and tell if you're connected or disconnected.
If things go right, you should see the Inazuma icon on the loading screen when you reconnect. You'll then be teleported to Ritou.
Activate a Teleport Waypoint as soon as you arrive in case things go wrong.

Team Comps

I used Zhongli, Rosaria, Kaedehara Kazuha, and Jean. Zhongli protects against lightning strikes (just in case) and is tall, Rosaria increases Movement SPD at night, Kaedehara Kazuha reduces sprinting Stamina consumption, and Jean is just here for Anemo Resonance.

For a true F2P team, I suggest Kaeya, Noelle, Geo Traveler, and Barbara. Kaeya is tall and reduces sprinting Stamina consumption, Geo Resonance increases Noelle's Shield Strength, and Barbara patches up wounds without using food.

Lazy Week

I've been high on copium (i.e. gaming) these past several weeks, hence my sleepless nights, so I hope to get my life together after this.
After my late-night English tutoring classes, I won't do anything else but prepare to sleep.

I probably won't do anything this first week of September except relax, but I promise a blog post by Sunday.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: September 1, 2021

I'm sure you're aware that Version 2.1 of Genshin Impact just came out. Not gonna lie, the new Archon Quest was a pain in my brain; I was too sleepy to properly comprehend all the nerdy philosophical stuff that was going on.
I'll just leave it to lore nerds like CatWithBlueHat, RedFlaim, and Teyvat Historia to make sense of what's going on.

But I ain't givin' up.
Aside from the Archon Quest, I just did the quest chain that unlocks the Thunder Manifestation, which, while a little long, didn't hurt my brain too much, thankfully.
So, on September 3, 2021 (after editing my thesis on September 2), I'll complete as many World Quests as I can, just in case some of them are as long and plot-heavy as Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual and Tatara Tales. Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual, in particular, was the subject of a few memes which, thankfully, did not spoil me because I finished the quest. I'm just worried about potential spoilers in other memes--I was already spoiled about Kujou Sara.

sadboi update: september 2, 2021 (intentional bad grammar)

my mom is pressuring me to work longer hours after i broke a contract saying i'll go back to my usual teaching schedule on september 1
so i'm working a little more out of sheer rage

English Tutoring

My mom's been raging at me for slacking at English tutoring, so I hope to get back to at least a 4-hour schedule after my lazy week.
This way, I have time to regain my energy, or in Pyro terms, re-ignite my inner flame by working out and sleeping well.

YouTube Plans

Also after my lazy week, I will make some test videos to train my voice and ability to roleplay, as well as maybe learn some super basic editing. This will also let me see if I can get a stable frame rate during recording.

By the 2nd week of September, I hope to release my first ever Minecraft video featuring a playthrough of my extremely difficult Hytale practice regimen.
The tough part about it is having to explain the rules and the mods I use because there are so many.

I hope to stick to at least a weekly schedule so I can build a habit slowly.
If things go well, I might do one playthrough every 3 days, then every day at a best-case scenario.

Coop772's "Nerf Stereotypes | The Try Hard" is HORRIBLY ACCURATE for Me

So, on June 26, 2021, I got back to the gym after yet another lockdown "enhancement" plus some busy days with my family and teaching English.

A few days before this, I was having a hard time killing bugs because they often stuck to surfaces that are either hard to reach or will cause damage to either myself or the surroundings. You can't flatten your hand on a round object or a corner, for example, and you definitely can't swat a mosquito clinging onto a book on a shelf or you risk damaging the book.

I lost literally every Nerf thing I had back in 2015. Some darts were destroyed, some got lost in nooks and crannies around my house, some were confiscated by my paternal grandma, some flew into neighbors' houses...and some were lost in public places.
As for the blasters, they're supposedly in a big box, but I can't find that box anymore. How utterly pathetic that I can't find a freakin' box the size of a small chair.

So, in addition to working out (and yes, I took it seriously 'cause I wanted to recover my lost physical superiority), I took the opportunity to buy a Triad EX-3 for a heavily discounted price of P200 (vs. the normal P530). I guess the Toys 'R' Us branch I went to was trying to get rid of old stock.

There were a lot of other Nerf products that I haven't seen over the years of me not window-shopping in toy stores, so I was poking around for reviews. Maybe one of the new darts is more accurate. Maybe there's a new budget-friendly blaster that's easier to use.
But the Triad was still the best blaster out of the bunch. The N-Strike Elite 2.0 Trio, a "successor" to the Triad, had a tactical rail but was much bigger and more expensive at P600+. The Triad is superior thanks to its clean iron sights and smaller size--also, I don't need attachments when I'm sneaking up on bugs from what would be considered melee range when fighting human-sized foes.

Coop772 was the first channel I ran into while comparing the differences between Elite and Elite XD blasters. After watching some reviews (while grinding Genshin Impact, of course), I randomly bumped into his Nerf Stereotypes comedy series.
It has pretty much every common first-person shooter stereotype translated into a Nerf war situation, plus a few Nerf war-specific ones like the dad.
And one stereotype struck me so hard: the tryhard.

Note that this next part is not about Nerf wars. I simply don't have the resources or friends to have Nerf wars with. (They don't even sell extra mags here in the Philippines, which is stupid because we see those ALL THE TIME in first-person shooters. You'd have to buy another blaster to get an extra mag.)
Instead, I'll mainly compare Coop772's video to how I want to play Hytale. (Did you expect that? I think not.) I'll go in sequence based on his video.

First off, I would rarely call someone a "casual" or a "loser" in front of their face. In Facebook Dating, I have called many girls "dumb weaklings" in my head, though, because they're emotionally fragile and overly dependent slackers whose English is very difficult for me to understand despite my vast amount of English knowledge.
If a stranger were to approach me, I'd be semi-polite with a little bit of suspicion so I can easily adapt accordingly if they later turn out to be a good or bad person.

When it comes to the "I'm in it to win it" philosophy, I take a middle ground. I never cheat when playing with others, but I enjoy using tactics that others may consider "dirty" but are still legal. If I want to, I would camp, for example. I once waited for a fight to end before stealth-killing the winner in Minecraft.

The only person who has ever called me a "tryhard" is myself. lololol

I mean, I plan to make Hytale my primary source of income, so of course, I gotta take it seriously. People who watch gaming videos respect skilled gamers.

Asking questions is a normal part of learning; in fact, I often enjoy being asked questions.
The hard part about being asked questions is when the person still makes mistakes or doesn't understand even after multiple answers with increasing clarity.
This is why I choose girls who have some proven intelligence, to begin with. (Maybe on par with what's expected of a high school graduate.) The last thing I want to happen is basically becoming a girl's free private tutor when it should be a balanced relationship where I get something in return.
I have lower standards when it comes to Hytale skill, though; I simply expect all members to know the most basic controls and mechanics, whatever those will be.

Okay, Coop772's tryhard is really hardcore. He wears bright green gear so that everyone can see him. He literally said, "Come at me, bro!"
Actually, now that I think about it, stealth is OP in Skyrim, so I feel like Hypixel Studios might do a complete 180 of that (assuming stealth exists in the first place)...
Outside of Minecraft and Hytale, though, I often dislike Self-Imposed Challenges, hence why I never do speedruns outside of Genshin Impact. In a Nerf war, expect me to wear tactical equipment like a vest, assuming I don't simply show up in a T-shirt and shorts that seem randomly chosen 'cause I'm lazy.

The bright side of wearing conspicuous clothing, again assuming there's a stealth mechanic, is being able to Draw Aggro and let other sneaky teammates do their thing. NachoPizza, in particular, is a Skyrim stealth archer through and through.

Putting stealth aside, in a video game, I would copy my Author Avatar's outfit as best as I can, regardless of whether or not it's viable. This isn't a competitive multiplayer game after all where functionality is king over aesthetics.

The tryhard's squad only brings minimal equipment because their extensive planning means they can win without weighing themselves down too much. There's a lot to break down here.
I am the complete opposite of "minimal equipment" when I'm enthusiastic or playing a video game. In real life, I carry a lot of things in my sling bag so I'm always ready when I need to clean my hands, write something with a pen, text my mom, or even patch up a wound. I always carry lots of tools in Minecraft and I expect to do the same in Hytale.
As for winning with minimal equipment, I have trained myself to do that as well. My critical hits are innately more powerful than others' IRL. I often kill Minecraft mobs with stone swords even if I have iron or diamond swords. I only wear leather armor. However, that's only training; in practice, I would use my strongest equipment to defend my allies.
Lastly, when it comes to weight, I use lifting heavy weights as an opportunity to grow stronger, so, despite my thin body, I am willing to do it.

Speaking of carrying stuff, this one is just flat-out abuse: The tryhard has...an ammo slave who just stands in one place, carries ammo for the squad, and basically makes it easy for the squad to reload.
One thing I realized early on as a tactician is this: Many gamers dislike manual labor. Why do the slow and painful work when you can get an instant dopamine shot by killing someone within a few seconds?
I understand that, in life, you must be willing to do things that sometimes make you uncomfortable but will be beneficial in the long run, but in terms of non-championship gaming, I prefer to help my team play to their strengths than train them to cover their weaknesses. For example, I'd train a mage to use their magic to the fullest potential rather than teach them to avoid getting hit by physical attackers--boring support roles are where I shine and, ironically, I genuinely enjoy them.
That said, if a teammate of mine is enthusiastic to play the role of an ammo slave or similar, I'd feel guilty but I'd allow him/her to do it.

All the tryhard's team members hit the gym.
That's actually amazing, given how I'm also a gym rat.
I should ask other competitive multiplayer gamers if they also work out or play a physical sport or something.
But, in my old Hytale team, none of my team members work out regularly. I don't mind that because, again, I look for good values in a team member, not gameplay skills.
As for dating, while I expect myself to do maybe 95% of all the physical work, I also expect my date to at least be able to handle a little uncomfortable weight in case things don't go according to plan. After all, physical activity also improves mental health...which, unfortunately, many teens and young adults today lack.

"Quite a few" people quit the tryhard's squad...though I interpret that as "many". It's no surprise given how utterly excessive and sometimes impractical some of his rules are.
As far as I can remember, I've never seen anyone quit any of the groups I have made, though most young people prefer to avoid speaking their minds outside of competitive gaming, somewhat similarly to Japanese people. I have done some...pretty awkward or horrible things to group members before, but outright declaring a resignation, I feel, requires a LOT of emotional energy for these people. Or maybe they were just plain lazy and forgot they were in the group, to begin with.
What I do remember is I disbanded my old Hytale team for being late or absent to multiple D&D games that they scheduled, not me. I admit I have greater expectations for people to commit to a schedule they impose on themselves rather than one that I set for them because let's face it, we do things better when we do them on our own free will than when someone tells us what to do (unless it's God or something). While I did introduce D&D to them, I never scheduled any serious games myself.

Speaking of training regimens, I only give them to hypothetical Hytale team recruits upon request--otherwise, I basically just let them play their way while I adapt to how they play to maximize our enjoyment.
What I WOULD do is give interview-like screening to hypothetical dates. I would ask them, for example, to describe their family members' personalities, their fandoms and why they like them, their talents and some showcases of their works, and their values in life. In other words, I don't like a lazy girl who has poor drunkard parents and can only say one vague adjective at a time like "cute" or "good".
Of course, I'm willing to give actual physical training regimens to friends and dates, though they're usually extremely light ones like walking and maybe 2 sets of 5 push-ups. Disclaimer: I am not a qualified personal trainer--I'm just a chuunibyou.

Let's face it: losing sucks. That's why, in almost everything I do, I aim to win. When I DO lose, I try as much as I can to turn that loss into a win until I accept that there's nothing I can do...unless it's schoolwork.

Conclusion

On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being a huge tryhard, I would give myself a 6.

I have sky-high expectations for myself and potential dates because I can't stand losing.

I get even more furious at people who break their promises to me--people who have done that to me in the past have suffered the Wrath of the Rock. (My "Wrath of the Rock" varies in intensity from me simply ghosting them to bombarding them with swear word-filled insults.)

PSA: I Play Two Genshin Impact Accounts

My younger brother is a very serious and principled person who loves reading.
Note that he doesn't have Diluc. This is my own Diluc.
He hasn't unlocked the Serenitea Pot either.

I was actually nervous to announce this because, according to miHoYo's Terms of Service, you're not allowed to use anyone else's miHoYo account. However, Moga, a Genshin Impact YouTuber, has been a member of the Content Creator Program for a long time and regularly plays on his girlfriend's account (and has even messed with it), so now, I think it's safe to announce this.

I play my younger brother's Genshin Impact account.

Somewhere back when the Lantern Rite was going on in Version 1.3, my younger brother voluntarily asked me to play on his account to help him. I accepted...mainly because I internally cringed at watching him with his weak characters. lololol

We established some ground rules regarding his account:
  • Aim for sword or polearm characters when wishing.
  • Do NOT touch the main story.
Out of respect for him, I added my own rules too:
  • Do not do one-time non-limited quests (i.e. Story Quests, World Quests).
  • Do not open chests.

Why is This Announcement Important?

I think you'd be interested to know why I'm taking a longer-than-usual amount of time on Genshin Impact.

Assuming that every day, I complete all Daily Commissions, spend 20 Resin per battle, and mine every marked ore vein in Mondstadt, it takes me about 30 minutes to clear on my brother's account.
It increases to maybe 1 hour and 30 minutes when including weekly activities such as Reputation Quests and the Weekly Bosses. (I don't actively complete some of the Battle Pass quests like "Complete Ley Line Blossom challenges 20 times"; it's possible for me to reach BP Lv. 50 without doing so.)

It takes me 3 hours on my main account, considering I have 4 Weekly Bosses and 3 regions to mine ores.
Thank goodness the Bounties are much faster in Inazuma, but I have to deal with the tanky enemies in the Requests now.

My brother has grown tired of playing on my PC, likely because he's been banned from my PC several times by my mom. Eventually, I guess his time has been occupied by casual games that don't require powerful PCs, as well as his studies, so now, he staunchly refuses my offers to let him play Genshin Impact.
I still play his account, though, because I feel like Zhongli--I've bound myself to a contract. I'm excited to one day see him enjoy his new and vastly improved characters. Plus, I'm tired of spending 20 Original Resin each freakin' time--I wanna make Condensed Resin.

Why Did I Think This is Sus?

My brother and I are VERY different people. My brother posts much more about politics than I do, while I focus heavily on video games and romance on social media. He uses his Facebook account to log into Genshin Impact.

We have vastly different skill levels in this game. My brother didn't really have a main DPS, instead preferring to go "random bullshit go!" with Elemental Skills and Bursts. I, on the other hand, have clear team synergy plans.

Thankfully, we use the same device and IP address, so it's a little less sus.

Current State of His Quests

I needed to complete Diluc's and Klee's Story Quests to access the Golden Apple Archipelago.

Back in the Lantern Rite, I didn't touch the Liyue Archon Quests because I thought he was still actively playing. So no free character for him.

He's still stuck in Chapter I Act I which I progressed through a little while he wasn't looking because I was desperate to go on co-op against the Oceanid in Wishful Drops.

In terms of Story Quests, he has completed Razor's Story Quest so I can beat up Andrius.

My Brother's Best Characters...Raised By Me

He didn't have Razor before, but now he does, and Razor is my brother's strongest character. I used a claymore billet while he wasn't looking, though, and I have gotten NO new billets from any weekly boss for him.
Razor is very easy to raise because of his extremely fast attacks from his Elemental Burst, as well as his Physical DMG Bonus ascension stat.

His other characters are very weak in comparison because I'm lazy to farm artifacts and I'm focusing on hoarding Acquaint Fates. Kaeya, in particular, has no Blizzard Strayer set because I want my brother to experience the puzzle required to unlock that artifact domain.

I don't have Kazuha and Zhongli on my main account, but my brother got lucky and, oh boy, are they strong.
Kazuha gets around the problem of removing element statuses by absorbing an element with his Elemental Skill before unleashing it with a Plunging Attack.
Given my brother's history of raging in video games, Zhongli will make his gameplay SO much easier because his shield is nigh-unbreakable. My brother just has to worry about Spiral Abyss time limits.
Unfortunately, I can't level Kazuha's and Zhongli's Talents past Lv. 6.

I got a little ticked off, though...when he freakin' pulled Jean from the Standard banner. Y U no give Jean to my main account? I have every Standard banner 5-star except Jean.
But Jean will also make things easier for my brother thanks to her insta-heal and consistent ability to inflict fall DMG.

I hope something will drive him to get back to Genshin Impact because Inazuma characters (except Kazuha) require access to Inazuma to grow stronger. Only Inazuma so far is explicitly closed off to foreigners, but there's a possibility that, for pure gameplay rather than lore purposes, Sumeru and the other future regions are locked down.

Inazuma-Induced Idleness

Nobushi
Be prepared to see these guys...a LOT!
Yes, it's hard to get good pictures of enemies when they attack you and interrupt your freakin' photoshoots.

The Inazuma region
A land of big fat content
That's hard to speedrun.

Inazuma, the Electro region based on Japan, has finally made its way at last to Genshin Impact after months of waiting and sheer uncertainty. Among other things, it means a new story, new characters, a new element for the Traveler, and...tons and tons of grinding.

Not gonna lie, I got so addicted to the sheer amount of new content in Inazuma compared to other versions that I spent significantly longer all-nighters, sometimes stretching to 5:30 AM. The most time-consuming things early on were completing the Archon Quests plus Ayaka's and Yoimiya's required Story Quests, not to mention the reading comprehension exercises (i.e. dialogue) and the fact I want to enjoy the characters' voices.
After those, I exhausted myself to unlock Reputation Level 2 so I could do my bounties before the end of Inazuma's launch week--I made it probably one hour before the weekly reset.

Later, my time was consumed by World Quests, most notoriously the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual which is filled to the absolute brim with unvoiced dialogue (I become lazy to read when I'm tired). I've already finished the majority of them and gotten all the 5 craftable Inazuma weapon blueprints.
miHoYo isn't kidding with the sheer amount of content they put in this update; they know a lot of players complain about "not enough content", especially with Dragonspine and the time-limited Golden Apple Archipelago.

Enemies

Important advice: If you only want to speedrun Daily Commissions, choose Mondstadt. The enemies here are significantly easier than in Liyue and Inazuma, except for the occasional "For The Harbingers!" commission in Dragonspine.

The enemies in Inazuma are a huge difficulty spike compared to the Golden Apple Archipelago which was featured in 1.6, immediately before 2.0.

Most enemies in the open world are Nobushi (bandit ronin). Despite some of them being lowly mooks (the Kairagi are mitachurl-sized Nobushi), none of them can be sucked up by Venti's Elemental Burst, forcing me to fight them the hard way (in other words, Kaeya + Tartaglia permafreeze). The lowly mook Nobushi have more HP than a big-bodied Treasure Hoarder and the Kairagi have only slightly less HP than a Fatui Cicin Mage.
The funny thing is, the Kairagi carry Electro- or Pyro-infused katana...and they can't be Swirled by Anemo characters, unlike a Blazing Axe Mitachurl's Pyro axe. You guys must really hate when Venti makes things too easy.

As sexy as the Fatui Mirror Maiden is, it's completely neutralized by how freakin' tanky she is. I rely heavily on my Darting Blow permafreeze team (Venti, Sucrose, Kaeya, Tartaglia) to speedrun content with minimal DMG taken...and the Mirror Maiden has 50% Hydro RES.
I insist on using my Darting Blow team because the Mirror Maiden is, in Filipino, malikot (erratic-moving). Literally all members of that team can stop enemies from moving in some way. While Geo is helpful in avoiding DMG, Noelle is held back by a long cooldown and has anti-synergy with permafreeze teams.

Not to mention, Inazuma has been memed on for having difficult enemies that guard...Common Chests. In Mondstadt, Liyue, Dragonspine, and the Golden Apple Archipelago, similarly difficult encounters would yield Exquisite, Precious, or even Luxurious Chests.

All this is available upon reaching Adventure Rank 30. I can't remember how much I knew about Genshin Impact back in this AR except for not using Geo and preferring Swirl over the superior Melt and Vaporize, but I imagine F2Ps who are new to the game will struggle a TON here, especially given how I thought Inazuma would reel in a lot of weebs.

Materials

Ayaka was the first character to come out along with the 2.0 update and she uses a new ascension material, Sakura Bloom. The problem is, these are fairly rare, found one by one, and spread around various places in Narukami Island, so I've been getting more and more join requests from other players.

Another major time-consuming activity for me early on was farming Naku Weed. They share some of the difficulties of getting Sakura Bloom, except they're often found in VERY dangerous places in Inazuma, including but not limited to near freeze-proof rivers of electrified water, in Balethunder (Sheer Cold-like) areas, and near squads of Fatui members.
There's a hidden Naku Weed donation house after completing a World Quest which grants an Exquisite Chest every day for 3 days, each giving 5 Primogems. The problem is, it needs 12 Naku Weeds per day while I've pretty much wasted a lot of them on another World Quest plus the quest needed to unlock this donation feature.
But, for me, it was worth it to catch 'em all even faster in the long run.

Domain Farming

Note that I haven't tried the new artifact domain.

Along with the Ley Lines, these new domains are freakin' HARD, but mainly because of a Self-Imposed Challenge. To avoid having to think of characters I don't like, I use them first in anything that increases Companionship EXP like Daily Commissions, Random Events, and of course, domain farming.
The Crackling Axe Mitachurls rush you like crazy with their quick spin attacks and jump attacks. The Kairagi are...well, super tanky.

What Does This Mean For The Rest of My Life?

I'll be honest: Genshin Impact is in my Top 10 favorite video games of all time, so it's gonna be very hard for me to quit it. (It's REALLY hard to reach my Top 10, so in CDawgVA's words, I'd say miHoYo absolutely killed it.)

Right now, I'm back to the usual routine of "do Daily Commissions, spend Resin, kill Weekly Bosses, and do Reputation Quests" with the occasional mining if I have extra time.
Note that I have another Genshin Impact thing keeping me busy, so keep an eye out for my next post.

I'll spend the rest of this week recovering my sleeping habits. I hope to sleep by 1 AM at worst so I don't boot up Genshin Impact the next morning with more than 120 Original Resin.
Ideally, I should spend all my Resin, take a bath, and brush my teeth before 12:30 AM.

In case of unexpected real-life events preventing me from spending all my Resin the usual way, there are always Condensed Resin and Magical Crystal Chunks.
Heck, in addition to the small Mora cost, the reason I usually don't make Condensed Resin is to prepare for such events.
These include appointments, schoolwork, and vacations.

Still, I used to be indifferent about new regions so I kept my hopes low for Inazuma, but now, I'm nervous about Sumeru. Not because of the puzzles like the memes say (but the Inazuma ones still hurt my tired brain), but because Sumeru might make Inazuma look like Mondstadt in terms of quest length and enemy difficulty.
Heck, perhaps one reason the Inazuma quests were too long for me is, in my head, I was practicing pronouncing every Japanese name and word. (My pitch accent is trash.)
I hope to get a more powerful PC than this because I currently can't record Genshin Impact--I can't leave my future viewers in the dark.

TL;DR summary: Screw Inazuma's tanky enemies and super-long quests. Good thing I finished them all so I can bring my life back to normal slowly, but I'm now nervous about the next Genshin Impact regions.
