Generation 3 starts at row 308.
Note that I haven't watched my footage.
It's great to be done with studies. I have far more time to do productive and fun stuff without worrying about school work deadlines.
But I'm mainly focusing on productive stuff. I gotta make my long college breaks worth it.
During my exam week, I was cramming so much that I had no time to do other productive work, like going to the gym and writing my blog, since I didn't wanna miss deadlines, and I needed to internalize a TON of concepts before the exams.
But, now that I've finally ditched school, I've made the most out of every day. On July 25 and 27, I worked out and got back the strength I lost from studies. I sacrificed my own well-being to help Mom with her work. And I finally finished My Opinion on Every Pokémon Generation 3.
But the main focus of this post, aside from My Opinion on Every Pokémon, is my second battle versus YoSquid.
I haven't visited YoSquid's house since our first battle, so I miss playing with him. We scheduled another battle on the night of July 28, the first Saturday after college classes.
I prepared by having chicken nuggets, tofu, and bread, then taking a 2-hour nap to ensure that I have maximum energy. I wanna be able to stay alive in a competition against an aggressive fighter.
In addition to my boxing gloves, I brought my Nikon D3400 and tripod this time. I wanna relive the funny and brutal moments.
In our first battle, YoSquid and I fought in his living room.
But, this time, it was occupied by his sister and some other adults. Instead, for this battle, we fought in YoSquid's bedroom.
It only had a narrow space between all the furniture, including the two twin-size beds, some cabinets, and a computer table, so it was difficult to find the correct place to "plant" my tripod. I settled on an entrance to an adjacent room, which made the fights look like Street Fighter. Additionally, it was tough to create angles (or strafe/sidestep).
Once we got everything set up, including camera settings (I set the ISO to 1600 and aperture to f/3.5), boxing gloves, and music, we got started with Round 1.
Round 1: FIGHT!
YoSquid went ham on me on the first minute. I barely punched back and mostly defended, but he got several clean hits on my pecs, abs, and jaw. I probably wasn't confident since I haven't had an actual fight in more than a month.
Feints weren't working as well; I think YoSquid has figured out my attacking style, or maybe he's really good at blocking. On the other hand, YoSquid is feinting back by faking a Mortal Kombat uppercut and actually hitting with a quick jab when I'm distracted "dodging" his uppercut. There were times when he actually hit me with the Mortal Kombat uppercut though; I suck at avoiding punches to the torso.
I think YoSquid wins this round.
Round 2: Environment Damage
This time, I was more offensive. I punched more often, and although my punches were mostly blocked, I still got clean hits, mostly on YoSquid's abs and sides of the head.
YoSquid was still aggressive--he threw fast and heavy punches, which I mostly dodged this time. However, when I did get pummeled, I lost balance and got knocked towards either the door or the furniture, dealing additional environment damage to me. (Fun fact: Throwing is my 2nd favorite method of self-defense.) Fortunately, I didn't stagger too long--I still hit back on his abdomen.
I think, at one point, I got a full-force 4-hit combo on his head. That's gotta hurt.
Then I was so aggressive that YoSquid got knocked down--this is my first knockdown in my boxing "career", and I am proud of it.
However, I was surprised when he got up at the count of 2. I predicted he would be down for 7 seconds. I said, "WHAT!? How did you get up so fast?" Then, I think he said something along the lines of "Shouldn't you get up before the count of 3? How does it work in boxing?" (Clearly, he's a wrestling fan. He even wore a WWE shirt during the fight.) I explained to him that boxers have 10 seconds to get up after getting knocked down, so he got back down to the floor to slack off. After getting up on the count of 9, I explained to him that if he gets knocked down again, I will consider it a TKO.
We fiercely fought again, until the round ended with YoSquid pummeling me so hard that he punched the nearby wall electric fan off, disassembling some of its parts, and also knocking some plushies off. This scared the adults. Fortunately, we fixed it quickly.
I declare myself the winner, mainly due to YoSquid getting knocked down.
Round 3: Extreme Rules
I can't decide which round is funnier or more brutal: Round 2, or Round 3.
YoSquid was tired, but he still gave me the classic pummeling, while faking even more Mortal Kombat uppercuts.
I, too, was aggressive, but still dodgy. I mostly punched his glove to preserve my energy, while doing a 2-hit combo consisting of a head attack followed by an abs attack, which was mostly successful.
At some points, I dished out a barrage of attacks, pinning him to his corner, just like what he does to me, except I get a lot of clean hits to the head, while YoSquid's punches are usually blocked by me. Unfortunately, his corner is near his computer table, so I needed to tone down the beatdown.
We punched so aggressively that we occasionally locked arms, with my arm getting stuck most of the time. And, by the way, YoSquid has a really strong grip, so I couldn't get off. It took some time for him to get off my arm. I think I explained that it's not allowed in boxing.
Eventually, we got into another arm-lock where we spun like crazy until we went off-camera and fell apart on YoSquid's bed, with YoSquid on top of me. And, instead of getting off me, he stayed on the bed with my shoulders down. He was so heavy that I couldn't force my way out, especially with one arm disabled. He then counted to 3, and declared himself the winner!
I raged at him afterwards and told him, "That's not legal! That's not how to win a boxing match! This isn't wrestling! Get back here!" He wouldn't get up, so I beat him up while he was lying down, in classic WWE style. (Don't worry, I didn't actually hurt him.)
But I think YoSquid still got more hits than me, and I was kinda tired at this time, so I got thrown around a lot, so YoSquid wins this round, not counting the wrestling win.

Plans for Future Fights
I wanna show YoSquid that I'm not just a speedy defensive fighter aiming for clean hits. In my next fight, I plan to be more offensive and make bigger combos. When I pummeled him near his computer table, he looked virtually helpless, so I think doing it again can make him stagger a LOT.
I plan to throw the Superman Punch on my next fight. When I hit my heavy bag with it, it swings around 45 degrees and makes a lot of noise. And it's actually legal in boxing. If I lunge towards YoSquid with the Superman Punch, it might do so much damage that I could break his defenses and follow up with a combo. (In Smogon terms, it's a wallbreaker.)

Of course, I'll still spam my dodges and feints, as usual.
Then again, I should have done the probation thing I stated in Fighting Addiction where I throw a handful of jabs and crosses to identify my opponent's moveset before I become aggressive.
I scheduled a wrestling match with YoSquid, but I'm not sure when we can do it. (However, we will follow pseudo-WWE rules, so I can use kickboxing.)
I heard from YoSquid that there will be no visitors on our next fight, so we can use the bigger living room. That way, I can also film what happens on the floor, unlike our 2nd boxing match which had a Street Fighter angle and only my hips were visible at the lowest point.
Problem is, YoSquid is heavier than my brother, so it's incredibly hard for me to escape his holds and pins. Therefore, I should whittle down his energy slowly, or overwhelm him with speed. I plan to lock his arms and give him choke holds, kinda like how Kevin Owens does it.
Anyway, we don't have mats or an actual ring, so we won't do suplexes, spears, clotheslines, or any of those "knockdown" moves.
