So I Commented Something Slightly Controversial on Facebook...

I will turn 22 on July 10, 2021, but I still consider myself a teenager personality-wise. I still have a rebellious spirit, for example, so I often do things that I think are "unconventional". These include but are not limited to running instead of walking, bowing like a Japanese person when someone does something nice to me, being a Blood Knight, explaining my opinions in plenty of detail using near-perfect English, being brutally honest, and, of course, having conservative opinions.

On the night of June 25, 2021, a popular supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte posted an image of a Tweet where she said, "...refrain from romanticizing and portraying [former President Noynoy Aquino] as Superman."
I had a sudden urge to comment just because I saw that "Superman" word, so I commented with this: "Wokes be like, 'But Duterte isn't Superman either!'"

The next day, Dad informed me that I got a bunch of hate comments from people who thought I was anti-Duterte. He was particularly alerted by someone who said "sabog ka na nmn" (Sabog ka nanaman; "sabog" is slang for "high on drugs". Full translation: "You're high on drugs again.") Along with that comment, this photo of me with a Starbucks Venti was included:

Anyway, allow me a chance to rant because I'm a brutally honest lunatic.

I meant no malice when I commented that...except to leftist ideologies, of course, which I thoroughly despise 'cause they ruin everything. I just did it for fun and on a whim...and if I entertain someone or trigger a leftist, that's even better.

The problem with many Filipinos (regardless of political ideology or a lack thereof) is they're innately lazy. It's why many Filipino girls on Facebook Dating have lazy hobbies like eating, sleeping, and watching movies/TV and no potentially profitable hobbies like drawing or writing.
Plus, many Filipinos today are bad at English. I think most Filipinos are only good enough at English to be able to communicate at the bare minimum in other countries. Ironically, most textbooks in the Philippines are purely written in English with no Filipino translation...except for History and the obvious Filipino textbooks which are in all-Filipino. We also watch anime with English subtitles and use English effectively in competitive multiplayer games.
So I kind of understand why I got the hate comments. They didn't see the "Wokes be like..." part and focused entirely on the "Duterte isn't Superman" statement, thinking that's what I really think about President Duterte.

President Duterte has his flaws for sure, such as signing the Safe Spaces Act which defines "catcalling" as literally "unwanted remarks directed towards a person".
But I still respect Duterte overall. It's thanks to him that over 1 million former drug dealers have surrendered, 279,623 were arrested, and 6,069 were killed. The military also achieved a victory against the ISIS-aligned Maute Group and is continuously winning skirmish after skirmish against the New People's Army (NPA), an armed communist group.

I may suffer from a case of Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness, but "(Person/people) be like..." is a common phrase on the Internet today, so I felt like this shouldn't have slipped through the minds of the commenters.

My Dad's Advice

But I think this is worse than the hate comments.

Dad told me to only say obviously pro-Duterte or anti-leftist stuff when talking about politics.

I understand that he's trying to keep me safe, but I consider this a suppression of my freedom of speech. I justified to him that I'm already posting controversial opinions on my blog and, even if I didn't, I will have to face real enemies once I become popular in any way. It's just how the world works; there are always those few people who want to see others suffer for whatever reason, good or bad.

For example, YouTube has a lot of words that, when included in a video, may cause demonetization. In short, reading that list is like reading a dictionary. Even very basic English words like "goes", "going", and "goodbye" are in the list.
I mean, to be fair, according to Anita Sarkeesian, "everything is sexist, everything is racist, everything is homophobic."
In PragerU's "On Air with Amala", Will, Amala, and Taylor played a game where they try to make random words racist...and not gonna lie, I had NO idea how to answer most of them.

But screw it. I don't care about any ideological adversity 'cause I'm a lunatic. Usually, enemies are a minority compared to friends and supporters.
Remember that, no matter how hard the left hates on PewDiePie, he will remain popular and highly respected all over the world.
Heck, Aby, an Indian, still loves PewDiePie despite him roasting T-Series in two music videos, "bitch lasagna" and "Congratulations". T-Series is extremely popular in India.
